Updates from Fred Walker Legacy – Zambia
Fred Walker is now in Heaven with his wife Eileen. He was Pastor of Jesus Chapel in El Paso for many years. Fred and Eileen lived their adult lives with an overwhelming passion for missions, especially to the people of Mexico. Their passion for missions is continuing, not only in their own kids, grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids, but in thousands of spiritual sons and daughters.
Here is a big project we’re currently working on:
Roar Campus in Kawama, Ndola, Zambia
We are very excited about Chris and Heidi Kohn’s lifelong commitment to discipling young men and women in Zambia, America, and around the world as passionate followers of Jesus and leaders. Heart For The World is eagerly sponsoring their vision to have a permanent mission hub in Zambia, Africa. We have already been able to raise the $5,000 to pay for a well to be dug in put in place. We are believing that God will help us raise $12,500 by the end of this year for the land purchase for a future hub in Zambia.
We're getting a piece of land
Orchard Ministries is in the process of purchasing a significant piece of land in the Kawama community, located in northern Ndola, Zambia. This land will become our ROAR Campus—a dynamic, mulCpurpose base that will enable us to greatly expand our outreach to the children and youth of northern Ndola.
The ROAR Campus will also be home to our Apolo Mission & Leadership Training program, designed to equip and send indigenous missionaries from Zambia to neighboring naCons. With a vision for long-term impact, we aim to raise up a new generaCon of leaders who will take the gospel and compassionate action to the region.
A quarter-mile running track
Additionally, the campus includes enough space for a quarter-mile running track within its walls, allowing us to grow and develop our running teams as part of our discipleship and youth engagement strategy. The ROAR Campus will serve as a hub for hosting visitors, guest speakers, and conferences, providing a place for us to broaden our reach and make an even greater impact. Through our I AM A LION discipleship program, we will empower young people with purpose-driven, relevant, and life-changing opportunities.
